At Cawston Park as a learning disability service we continuously aim to enhance service user experience through better staff engagement and involvement. One of the ways to achieve this is by promoting an employee engagement platform.
The purpose of this role will be to engage everyone and share good ideas that can be put forward to the board. The Employee Relations Officer will represent the workforce and act as a liaison between the board and the workforce, sharing positive ideas, initiatives and general feeling at Cawston Park. The Employee Relations Officer will be given dedicated time to carry out staff rep meetings and work on positive initiatives that aim to improve our day to day working lives.
How are we going to achieve this?
We encouraged those with good communication, people skills and have the ambition to develop themselves further to apply. To ensure this is a successful process we put together a panel that will review all applications and nominate applicants. We encouraged our staff to be creative by allowing video applications which will provide an edge in the selection process. Our Director of Communications will chair the panel and those involved will nominate a maximum of 4 people and a minimum of 2 people to participate in an election where our employees will vote and select for who they want to be their Employee Relations Officer
